Why Polish stocks face the same long-term headwinds as the rest of Europe

About a year ago I was considering buying EPOL, the most common Dollar denominated country ETF for Poland. I ended up not pulling the trigger. My eyes were first opened to Poland, investment wise, in 2008/09. Poland was the only European country never to enter a recession during the financial crisis.
